We now have a weekly post for music that BMTM wants to share! Ensuring everyone can get out there, this is place to find extra music that is not on the weekly single reviews. It's so amazing getting emails and messages from a whole variety of people with music they want to share (either their own or simply wanting to let me know about what they like).
So here is a new weekly update of what is surfacing around the world, that is waiting to be heard and is the start of something great for a songwriter or artist. Please share your own music or music you love for this whenever you can, please email: tom.bringmethemusic@gmail.com or direct message on instagram.
The ironic contrast between the music we hear and the dark lyrics, commenting on the grief Andrea faced with the passing of his mother to cancer, is purely admirable. We hear a gentle acoustic song but the painful and brutal words of how shit cancer is and the impact it has to so many people. I am too surprised the artist is an Aussie, not one bit and fair play to Cordova for writing a song that so many will get and understand.
The fun and robotic vibe is amazingly playful, the vocal delivery is infectious and everything about this song, makes you want to pogo dance around the room! 'Teeth' has such charm and swagger that really reminds you of Talking Heads. Yet the Brighton band are rocking it with taking their love for 80's sounds and giving it such an interesting twist.
The way the chorus spreads open in such a cool and beautiful manner is so sweet and awesome! Wildest's RnB and Soul infusion ensures you are left with something that sounds so refreshed and lush, its undeniable that the three piece are onto something here. People talk about wanting a certain singer's 'watermelon sugar'.... I want this sugar here instead!
The cool grove is highly infectious and the production choices are interesting. Here we have Cis Sile and John Bradley, who only stared writing together last year, bring the style and nuances of French and British music together very well.
Mixing together the artists grime roots and a hint soul, gives the latest single by Benjamin A.D. such a great texture to it. The emotion you hear in the rappers delivery is touching, throughout the song we hear about missteps and the need to carry on going forward in pursuit for purpose. The artists debut EP, 'Mood', will be out soon!
The newly released single has a great feel to it, the stripped back soul song captures all your senses and takes you far away. The production of the drums is interesting but fit with the mystique delivery by Christie. Above is the acoustic version and have been really enjoying it!
The impressive cut by ALBA, finds her singing passionately about reconnecting with a sister and wanting to prove that she can be a better for her. The bass playing really shines through on the track and the rhythm to the song is very infectious too.
