Led by a beautiful piano, Megan Lara Mae delivers a beautiful and heartfelt sounding new song. The melody feels classic straight away, with Megan singing over so purely and wonderfully as we hear her sing about wanting people to take the big step, of fully taking control of their lives. 'Backseat Driver' feels inspiring and beautiful, sending chills due to a brilliant execution of its message and musicianship.
Does the song title resonate with you too? Anyway, Voodoo Bandits offer a lovely sounding indie track, filled with some classic vocals and guitar lines that sound wonderful on any of our garden party playlists. The bass does a solid job in the verses before a great chorus comes in, making you want to shimmy to it all night long. The track shows off how this band sound so tight together and how free spirited they are with a catchy hook!
When the melody flows so incredibly over the relaxing beat and tranquil keys, you just know how impressive this collaboration is. Jordan Phillips fits so perfectly and sounds so splendid here, singing a melody that is both fascinating and captivating for anyone who will listen to it. The stripped back nature of the instrumentation is a find choice by fin and the way the artist has produced this track to make it suit Jordan, is highly impressive.
Over some subtle production, Lisa Keane sings passionately to create a song that feels so lush throughout. As the synth beat goes along, the song blossoms generously to be the perfect synth pop song, to calm us all and feel the emotions of wanting to feel loved be someone. There is a lot promise with Lisa Keane, it will be fascinating to see where she takes her songwriting next.
The stompy and crunchy riff is addictive as heck, with the vocals captivating the listener from the word go. The Fools Horses offer an impressive rock track that is based over the impressive riff and a bluesy mid-tempo rhythm, that makes you want to strut your stuff while wearing the most stingy of leather jackets. 'Lies and Deceit' finishes in impressive fashion, offering us a glitchy like synth sound that helps conclude the track in fine form.
Seductive power pop from BINNY is impressive and highly engaging, the vocal delivery feels lovely and has such wonderful charm to it. Years and Years runs through the song with its inspiration but also the likes of Charli XCX and SOPHIE, who laid the ground for the power pop sound. The hook of the song gets stuck in your head, leaving you wanting to dance the night away on your favourite dance floor.
