The Californian band have really nailed it on their latest release called 'Letters'. It feels like The Smiths have gone alt rock with a sprinkle of dreamy and psychedelic pop, the way this melody floats along the sounds on this track is truly beautiful. The drumming is played in such a lush way, elevating this song to another level but still fits perfectly within the dreamy mix. Wait for the last third of the song, the way it comes together is flawless and a real shining moment in Metro's early career.
The synth rock disco goes to another level on the bands second song, on their latest release. The way the synths eclipse over us in a dramatic way is amazing by the band, you get swept away to a technicolour universe instantly. The song blends their influences of MGMT and Two Door Cinema Club well, leaving the listener to dance and chant away to this belter of a song.
What an impressive song by the indie pop duo, it has everything going for it. The bass line is immense, the melody is catchy and the sounds by the synths are a true delight. Also the lyrics are very well crafted about the choice we make, with not allowing other peoples thoughts and standards taking control of our own life. Both singers sound amazing with a great vocal melody, delivering such an important message of saying no to the restraints, other people can put on you.
Night Flight's latest release is a great ode to the country known as The Great White North. With guest vocals by The Staves' Camilla Staveley-Taylor, this gentle and tranquil acoustic sounding song is a real treat for us. The harmonies are so pretty, while the instrumentation is done exquisitely, especially the drumming and bass. It is lovely hearing the band slow it down more and look back at a place that is filled with such amazing memories and beauty.
The vocals and collective band sound in this new cut , is awesome to the max!!! The passion heard non stop is fantastic, it feels like this indie band are assured and confident with what they are doing. Recorded in a home studio, between both lockdowns in 2020, the song was brewed with all the traits that Framatics are nailing right now and became a song about the end of a relationship.'Bang Bang' gives you what you want and more, leaving the listener to keep listening to this track non stop but more importantly, leaving us very curious to see what this band has next for us!
Yes the unorthodox synths and vocal mixing is intriguing but the melody found on Bryn Stagg's new single, was the aspect that grabbed me. Inspired by the Pixies and New Order, you can hear these distinct influences deep within the fundamentals of the track but Stagg's songwriting stands out. Here we have an artist that is so interesting and Im sure the world he is creating with his music, is going to be a great one.
The drive in the guitar and bass is on another level on this new track. The band DEAFDEAFDEAF,ty are giving the current sounds of post-punk, a really cool rock'n'roll vibe and attitude to it, that for sure will attract many fans. The vocals are clear and do remind you of Joe Talbot but this group are doing some very different to the Bristol outfit, leaving you to ponder if this band are going to take the recent surge in punk music to a very interesting place.
